BeatJunkie is a new school DJ with an old school mentality. Know mostly for being a vinyl purist, she engages audiences with big bass, and beautiful melodies. Growing up in the New England underground, she is on a mission to make people fall in love with the music the way she did. BeatJunkie tells a story with her sounds, one straight from the heart that echoes her soul straight out of the speakers.

Just a great tune all around, I had fun playing this for the first time a few days ago! It paired up nicely with some of the expected Black Sun Empire I play on the off chance I end up on CDJs... but I was able to use this to transition into not so dark liquidy beats :). I really enjoy tracks that have a break in the mood that you feel from them.

Gridlok knows how to make a proper dancefloor steppa. This tune is FILTHY and oh so so so so so good!

If you ever heard of the term "steppa" this probably is a perfect example of what a meaty steppa, or hardstep DNB tune is. And of course its from Gridlok, US DNB royalty and known for a long time of making some of the most heavy hitting tunes for sometime now. I love this full release as it brings me back to a sound in DNB I loved... Many of the tunes made in 2000-2006 had this steppa vibe and its great to have a revival of this which I know for sure will go well on the dancefloor. How could it not, running drums, heavy bass, congos, vocals... its a full bodied tune!

The sun doesn't set on "Sun Goes Down". It lights up the room with a slammer of a dnb remix. Ak9 has been the one to watch recently and Simplify always delivers. What a great release!
