Brett Thorngren (COSMO) New York Native, Miami resident, has been kicking around electronic dance music and indie rock scenes since he was a teenager. He started as a DJ in Miami, and, later, became a member of the rock band Muse (Lava/Atlantic Records). In 1999, COSMO left Muse to join Astralwerks recording artists, Metrodub (Miami, Florida). Getting back to his Miami dj roots, he was back out on the road touring with Chemical Brothers, Daft Punk, and Fat Boy Slim just to name a few. COSMO was also a resident Dj at Liquid, Bar Room, Chili Pepper, and the mega nightclub, Level. From the late '90s forward, COSMO wrote and produced a handful of dance records, some released internationally, on various labels (Universal, Filtered, Neo Records). At this point in his career, COSMO was able to work on his skills as a music producer and engineer, producing various indie rock bands. He worked as Barry Gibb's (Bee Gees) personal engineer on several projects, including the 2005 Barbara Streisand album, which earned him a gold record. In late 2005, COSMO moved to Brooklyn with his electro/punk group, The Junkies. Their EP was released on multiple labels in multiple countries. In 2009 he signed with Perpetuity publishing UK where he now showcases some of his songwriting and sound designing talent by writing/co-writing and producing with many artists. Now, with the start of his new label "Kiss Kiss Bang Bang Records", COSMO is set to release a slew of dance floor bangers. First up is a duel release of "Close To Your Heart" featuring acclaimed Australian singer/songwriter, Adaja Black . Cosmo and Black is a serendipitous story of a chance meeting during the Winter Music Conference this past March. After a free-form live jam, COSMO invited Adaja to his studio, where the two had an immediate artistic compatibility. The duo produced nothing short of musical magic that can be heard on the labels first and second releases, KKBB001, the Dubstep Mixes, and KKBB002, the Big Room, Deep and Tech House Remixes. July 12th & July 19th (Remixes) 2012 (Release) KKBB003 July 26 2012 (Release) From indie to punk rock to dubstep, Miami's own Amanda Green and Brett Thorngren (COSMO) have been prominent music figures in the Miami music scene since they were teenagers . Green, once with Interscope Records, and COSMO, with Atlantic Records, teamed up just a year ago. They wrote and recorded a live punk-electro EP, simply titled "YOYO XO", then hit the road to support it . Once back they started work on new material. Taking a different direction, COSMO pushed the grooves towards dubstep. The two collaborated on several indie inspired songs slated to be released as "YOYOXO" on Kiss Kiss Bang Bang Records . First up is "It's The Sound", an emotionally driven angelic vocal from Green. The result is a sound-designed, melodic, musical masterpiece . Kiss Kiss Bang Bang Records is distributed by Believe Digital (France) and will be available everywhere music is sold … Beatport , Juno Records , iTunes , Amazon , Walmart and the list goes on . Starting in mid-July they will be releasing singles , remix singles , every week slated all through the summer with a catalog of varies artist being developed for the fall and winter releases .
