Pauly Smallz started his musical journey when he was 17. He
stared as a promoter in the early 90’s rave scene. It wasn’t until
he met Mark Bee at the legendary Structure parties that he
wanted to get behind the decks. Pauly Smallz got his first used
technics 1200’s from a friend and started playing around with
them. He instantly fell in love and knew this was what he
always wanted to do. With guidance from Mark and the rest of
the NJ Underground crew he started to develop his unique style
of mixing and scratching.
He began doing opening sets for DJ Kelee in the local bar and
lounge scene in late 90’s. It was after this point when he started
getting headlining gigs at Groove Lounge, Café Bar, Wonder
Bar, Mix Lounge, Aqua Lounge, Dive, The Vig Bar, Sapphire Lounge, No
Malice Palace, Pulse 48 and many others.
Recently, he joined Scratch DJ academy, allowing him to grow
his knowledge of the DJ culture, perfect his craft and to
experiment and grow within a broad spectrum of electronic
music. Most recently he has played with Angerfist, X-Dream,
Micro, DJ Irene, Dali, DJ Caffeine at Hard Bass Massive 2 The Remix.
Pauly Smallz specialize in Tech House but is not limited to this
genre alone. He has played sets ranging from house to hip-hop
and everything in between. As a result, Pauly Smallz manages
to transport his audiences through his sets without having to
resort to top-ten tracks to get the crowd going.
With 15 years now of experience, vast knowledge of different
genres and smooth mixing, clean scratching, and trick mixing;
he has proven himself to be incredibly valuable to the music
scene. His high energy, enthusiasm and seamless mixing are
always a guaranteed dance floor packer.
