Artist Info:

Eric Jerome was born in Brooklyn, NY and spent his youth in and around Long Island, Manhattan and Brooklyn. Creative from an early age he found outlets for his creativity through skateboarding, playing bass & keyboards in various bands, working on artwork and going on graffiti writing missions. But it wasn't until the early 90's when a few Dj friends of his (Billy Anfolisi, Onionz & Jason Nevins) started introducing him to DJing house, dance and break beat records. That's when Eric found he could combine his own style of hip-hop, new wave and punk with house music to create his own unique sound. Eric's list of influences ranges from 80's new wave, Disco, Hip Hop, Funk and all forms of "electronic music"; as Eric says "digging in the crates is a religion." Taking bits and pieces of these grooves and embellishing them with his own style soon became his trademark. His style of mixing and production was right in sync with the sound in the clubs and on the streets at the time. Growing up in NYC during the rise of the rave scene and warehouse parties he was able to immerse himself in the sounds of legendary DJs and artists such as Frankie Bones, Onionz, Todd Terry, Little Louie Vega, Dee-Lite, Junior Vasquez, New Order, the Ramones, Parliament, Larry Levan, Kenny Dope, MAW, Frankie Knuckles, etc. So it's no surprise his style is a combination of all these influences along with his own vision of the future of house and electro music. It was through his DJing connections that he got his first taste of pure hip-hop production back in the winter of '93 when he teamed up with producer Andre Neal (Black Sheep, K-solo, Etc.) who gave him the chance to work on tracks and hone his skills as a producer and musician. This led to jobs for such prominent studios as Tiki Hut (Long Island) and Giant Recording (NYC). As an engineer Eric has had the opportunity to work with both live bands and MC's, which has helped him develop the varied style he is known for. It was while working at various studios that he decided to concentrate his efforts on pursuing a full time career as a House DJ and producer. In 1999 Eric relocated to Los Angeles, CA and started his own multimedia design company - Potent Design Lab. While working as a Graphic Artist and Multimedia Designer he met some influential club promoters and DJs. This led to DJ residencies and guest slots spinning at clubs in NY (Marquee), LA(Vanguard, Vice, LAX, Ritual, Avalon, Air Conditioned, The Standard), San Diego (The Ivy, On Broadway, The Standard) and Las Vegas(TAO). Due to his ability to read crowds and spin all genres he has been the "go to" DJ to perform opening sets for some of the world's biggest DJs including Carl Cox, Benny Benassi, Steve Aoki, Jason Bentley, Boys Noize, DJ Dan, Richard Vission, Felix The Housecat, Tommie Sunshine, LMFAO, Hypercrush, Tina T. As well as producing tracks as a solo artist Eric produces and performs electro house under the moniker STEREOTRONIX with his DJ partner Sergio "$uperfox" Aguirre. He is also the DJ/producer for electro/hip hop group PINK TIE MAFIA and dub reggae group IRONI featuring Isreal Joseph (Bad Brains) on vocals. With an established recording history and 20+ years of stellar live shows in the music scene on both coasts of the US his career speaks for itself. He continues to create, innovate, entertain and consistently rocks crowds wherever he plays. Now with releases scheduled for such prominent labels as Electrik Soul, Dust Traxx and Toolroom his future in the world of House music looks brighter than ever.
