Artist Info:

NYC-based djs, Christy Love and W. Jeremy, collectively known as House of Stank, began in March 2006 with a weekly Wednesday party at Mr. Black, a small underground club in NYC. "STANK," as the party was aptly named, encompassed a profound dedication and love for house music and the many genres within it. STANK played host to many of house music’s most influential figures, one of them being the legendary Wild Pitch Acid maestro, DJ Pierre. In April 2006, they, along with DJ Pierre, launched a monthly party at STANK, dubbed "AFRO ACID: The Chicago Sessions," where one Wednesday a month, Chicago jacked New York with such world-renowned guests as Cajmere (a.k.a. Green Velvet), Glenn Underground, Ron Carroll, Mark Grant and Harrison Crump. In 2007 and 2008, their debut and sophomore tracks, "Baby Brain" and "4 Tha Freaks," were released on DJ Pierre’s label, Afro Acid Digital. The tracks featured remixes by DJ Pierre, Honey Dijon, James Curd of the Greenskeepers and Johnny Fiasco and gained support from many international djs such as John Digweed (on his weekly BBC Radio 1 show), Timo Garcia, Chris Duckenfield and Laurent Garnier. Over the next 2 years, the duo remixed more than a dozen tracks for such artists as Larry Tee, Easy Street, Onionz, Thee-O & Merlyn Martin and DJ Pierre. In the fall of 2008, House of Stank joined the Dust Traxx Chicago label and released the anthem, "Make U Jack," which featured remixes by Santiago & Bushido, Ron Carroll and The Connection. The single became a huge success, climbing to the top of the Dust Traxx chart on Beatport and staying there for the remainder of the year. On the heels of the success of "Make U Jack," in 2009 they released the follow-up hit, "Get Up, Yeah!" which featured remixes by UK heavy-hitters HiJack and Stupid Fresh. In the fall of 2010, House of Stank will launch their label, "Get Up Recordings," which will feature original music from the duo as well as other artists in the future. As djs and producers, House of Stank draw influence from many genres of dance music including Chicago, tech, acid, electro and deep house. Together they have played at some of NYC's favorite spots, such as Sullivan Room, Club Love, Greenhouse, Public Assembly and Rebel, and have had featured dj sets on PUSH FM and Ultra Music Festival Radio. In the summer of 2009, House of Stank, DJ Pierre and Phuture 303 headlined the critically acclaimed PS1 Warm-Up music series, one of the most anticipated summer events.
