New York City's own bass-slinger, Joe Constantino, better known as Jumpshot, is a force to be reckoned with on the EDM / dance circuit. Stylizing his dark sound with signature hip-hop samples and classic breaks, each release pushes its genre to a new level as Jumpshot continues to make waves throughout the industry. Raised an avid listener of hip-hop music, Jumpshot began training in jazz & classical piano at the age of 5. His fascination with music continued into his adolescent years, and he soon began writing short piano pieces. At age 11, he arranged his first track using his home computer, thus spawning his love for digital music production. Working vigorously for several years, Jumpshot eventually broke into the realm of professional music in 2001 and soon found himself in the studio alongside major leaguers such as Rev Run (Run DMC), Busta Rhymes, Joe Budden, Lil' Mo, Fabolous, Paul Caine, Fat Man Scoop, Prodigy, Christina Milian, and others. After taking a few years off from making "anything musical", Jumpshot came back with a vengeance in 2010, this time storming the dance music scene. A long-time fan of jungle and drum & bass, he was introduced to dubstep by a friend and became very interested, very quickly. He released "The Raw Uncut" on Synth City Records in 2011 – a two-track release like no other at the time that quickly found itself at the top of the charts. He followed up with a huge release on Play Me Records later that year and several releases since then, and continues to pave the way with his unique style & sound. Jumpshot is currently running alongside MING at Hood Famous Music in NYC. With several projects working in addition to his solo career, there is a lot to come from Jumpshot and the Hood Famous crew, including a genre-defining venture entitled "Some Swans Are Evil", where Jumpshot & MING bring their heaviest artillery to the table.
