LQT012 sees the return of rising star, Freebird, on Liquid Tones. Having already made a brief appearance alongside fellow compatriot (Submatic) earlier in the year, he steps things up with a stunning solo effort in the shape of the Sentimental Journeys EP. Kicking things off is the title track, Sentimental Journeys, full of punchy shuffling drums accompanied with warm underlying bass, soulful vocals and vibrantly placed jazz flute riffs. Le Funk Au Soliel definitely brings the funk, colourful rays of sunshine and a bit of oohlala for good measure. The variety of ideas and vibrations on this EP is sure to make any lover of liquid feel right at home.
